Will these mats suit my caravan floor?
They perform best on clean, dry, smooth, flat, non-textured hard floors, such as suitable vinyl or timber. Check your particular surface and the mat’s grip before use. Textured floors, dirt and cleaning-product residue can reduce grip. Do not use on carpet or rough decking.
Can I use one outside or in my annex?
Only where the floor is sheltered, clean, dry, smooth, flat and non-textured. They are not ground mats: do not rely on their grip on grass, dirt, sand, gravel, rough decking or wet, uneven surfaces. Bring the mat in if the floor or underside becomes wet, and dry both before reuse.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure your usable floor space and compare it with the width and length listed above. Check door clearance and keep steps and access routes clear. Compact suits smaller spaces, Mid Runner is narrower, Long Runner adds length, and Double Classic gives broader coverage. These are application suggestions, not a guarantee of fit.
Will the mat stay in place when wet?
Moisture on the upper surface is different from moisture underneath. Water trapped under the mat can reduce grip, as can dust, textured flooring or cleaning residue. Lift the mat if liquid gets underneath and let both the floor and backing dry completely. Always check that it lies flat and grips before stepping on.
Can I put it in the washing machine?
Follow Conni’s hand-washing instructions: wash both sides with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, drain and lay flat in the sun to dry. Avoid bleach and fabric softener, and don’t hang it over a line or railing. We do not recommend machine washing these floor mats.
Can I use it inside a caravan shower?
No. These absorbent floor mats are not designed for use inside shower recesses or bathtubs. Use them only on suitable dry hard floors outside those areas. Conni’s suction-cup shower mats are a separate product with different instructions.
How durable are they?
Conni floor mats are designed for regular use, foot traffic and repeated hand washing. Their useful life depends on use, flooring and care; there is no fixed lifespan promised here. Check for wear, damage, curling or reduced grip and stop using a mat that no longer lies flat or performs properly.
